Rather surprised no one noticed this tour had started. Pakistan won the T20i series 3-0. First ODI today, NZ 266-9 Ross Taylor with 80 and Shadab 4fer. Trent Boult took a hat trick in Pakistan's reply. Pakistan currently 35-3

Hafeez back chucking it and safraz chucking the toys out of the pram
-

NZ ran out comfortable winners in the end, winning by 47 runs. Boult MoTM for his hat trick, but Ferguson was impressive and absolutely rapid! Pakistan might be better off dropping Fakhar as he's struggling
-
Absolute scenes in Abu Dhabi as New Zealand defend 174 to win the first Test. Debutant spinner Ajaz Patel with 5fer in the fourth innings
-
Amazing win from Nz - but no doubt you question Pakistan losing in that fashion
-
This was just a piss poor performance from team Pakistan.
Questions will be asked of Sarfaraz's captaincy.

After the first Test was such a thrilling contest, the second match in Dubai is currently being played on a ridiculously slow pitch. Literally a bowlers graveyard. Shame as the first match was a classic

This post hasn't aged well! NZ 66-5
-
Make that 90-8
-
Sorry 90 all out...
8 wickets for Yasir Shah
-
And the first two in the second innings as well. Incredible performance.

Six in the second innings, fourteen in the game, incredible doesn't do that justice.

So I guess it wasn't a bowler's graveyard then?

Sets up an exciting 3 rd test
Pakistan gave away the first test have a feeling new Zealand will give a great match in the 3rd.
Yasir Shah what a bowler after warne
-
Mohammed Abbas Injured for the 3rd Test and potentially the series against South Africa, what terrible luck, but that might pave the way for young Shaheen, Been impressed with his limited overs performances and he's still not 20!
-
Hopefully Abbas isn't badly hurt as I wanted to see the battle in South Africa against Steyn and Philander
-
I hope so too conditions over there would be much more favourable than the U.A.E. Also don't forget Rabada off that list he is the real deal with a mean streak in him- just what you want from your fast bowler :D

Bbc sport reporting it’s not as bad as first feared and should be available for sa

Totally forgot about Rabada :o

I am a big fan of Yasir Shah but don't think he has a decent googly in his arsenal.

Hopefully they don't bring Amir back. He is not as potent as before.

To be fair He's been doing well since he's return to the domestic set up has taken 20 odd wickets at an average of ~15. But I understand what your saying but he might be a bowler worth taking on a tour that may offer assistance to the seamers just don't make him an automatic pick in the the playing XI. Hassan and Abbas are the 1st choice seamers and are doing a good job. I have a feeling Pak might pick Faheem Ashraf as the seam bowling allrounder similar to how they did when they toured Ireland and England.
Hopefully they don't bring Amir back. He is not as potent as before.

Quite similar to Warne in that sense, as Warnie never had googly either (particularly in the 2nd half of his career). But would be interesting to see if Pak go with 2 leggies in the final test and play Shadab- who has a very good googly. Plus Shadab offers a better batting option lower down the order than Bilal Asif. Also I'd like to see Fakhar come and replace Hafeez at the top of the order.

BJ Watling is 14 off 98 with a SR of 14.29. Beautiful.
-
Hafeez, another failure. Cannot see Pak taking him to SA for the test series he has not had a score in Tests since his comeback century against the Aussies :o
-
well surely time to drop hafeez, even more so if you are not bowling him
plus inam - not sure about him
would like to see fak, abid ali and shan masood given a run now...
-
Hafeez to retire from tests. Is he not bowling to protect himself from being called for chucking? Save himself for the WC
-
The master Williamson reaches his 19th Test hundred. New Zealand putting up a real fight in the final test
-
Williamson is magnificent.
-
Williamson is magnificent.
Beautiful to watch, incredible footwork. Powers of concentration are on a whole different level to most. Watching it live on Star GOLD if you've got Satellite TV.
-
On Sky it's 729, 801 on Virgin Media I think.
-
King kane! What a knock.
A man for all conditions, has to be the number 2 batsmen in the world currently playing.
Another 100 and nz got a serious chance of a away series win
-
There's only one day left csnew. I'd say another 50-60 than stick Pakistan in. There's variable bounce on offer

My mistake thought it was day 3. I’ll definitely putting a few quid throughout the day on nz after the first test. Always a chance

5 down before lunch. NZ firmly in the box seat for away series win in the uae.
Any idea the last time that won a series away against Pakistan?
-
Been a poor effort from Pakistan. The Kiwis thoroughly deserve the win, their batman scored important runs and the bowlers have stuck at it in tough conditions, plus a brave decision from KW to put pak in and dangle the carrot, by the looks of it, seems like a fruitful choice.

SL done it last year mate and as of now the only touring side to win in the Middle East
-
Historic series win for NZ - first time beating pak away since 1969!
Great performance and with two spinners on debut.
-
Outstanding effort from the Kiwis, didn't give them much hope after the drubbing in the second Test. Williamson class apart with the bat but Nicholls really announced himself as well. But remarkable was the efforts of Ajaz and Somerville
Sarfraz's reign as skipper will surely end after their tour of South Africa
-
Well played New Zealand. Gotta appreciate them giving new talent a chance rather than give a chance to those who havent excelled in the past i.e. their spinners
-
Well played New Zealand. They deserved the win.
For Pakistan though, they lost the game because their primary batsman couldnt bat with the tail. Their number 5 batsman giving the 9 batsman 5 balls per over to face against Boult, Southee etc is pure stupidness.
