I'm excited to see what they launch, but I can't help but feel it will be a bit late for the 2019 season

Thumb claw, wrist bar, meta shield and profoams in the tags. Going to be disappointed if it's yet another pair of cane fronted pads!

Are the patents pending likely to get approved?

Shame. After the build up i was expecting something a little different. Doesn't look bad, but certainly no revolution!

Looks like they're releasing something to protect those, too...

It’s a IPR protection tactic, you can file and choose to pursue them once you’ve got a patent app number. The real costs come when you have to approve a prior art search which digs through previous apps and tells you in you have anything novel to actually patent.

GM did simailr pads and gloves previous in conjunction with D3O rather than Poron XRD, however not many people get severely injured getting hit on the pad nowadays. Gloves had their issues which was why I did my dissertation on them back in 2004 and why I’m in the cricket business still now for my sins.

:D The thigh pads look ok if thinner than usual. That's about all I can say that's positive tho really. All seen before.

Oh, the innovation!

Yeah they've basically taken existing ideas and come up with some marketing blurb name. Nothing new at all. Unecessary too. I mean Wrist bar? Really??

When was that from? Both look clunky and unnecessary :)

2014/15 from memory. They were released after Joe Root took a ball to the end of his thumb and fractured it against the West Indies in an ODI. (He carried in batting and scored a ton)

Just seen it on Facebook, ton stickers masuro colours and styling

If they've partnered up with Ton, does that make all those Masuri helmets with an SS/TON logo stuck on the back "legit" now?

The prices there charging are ludicrous

Insane prices!
£1080 for a bat, £135 for pads and £120 for gloves!
Are they mad?

Bat price mental and publicity stunt territory, pads and gloves will cost more due to foams being used that aren’t particularly cheap.

Would have given them a look until they came out with these stupid prices. Top end Ton £500 from PDC RRP £600 currently on
Sale for £440
Masuri/ton top end £1080 so £480 on RRp for some stickers. Worse rip off merchants than M&H/SS
