Just sold an old cricket bat and wondering what the best thing to do is regarding sending it as I've never sent one before. Any advice much appreciated ie which company to use, should I use a courier service etc.
Thanks a lot

I always use Myhermes - never had an issue with their service
alternatively the post office
-
How much does that cost normally?
Cheers

Wel it would depend on if you add Cover to the parcel and the value of the bat which you enter when you order the courier. So can vary from anywhere from £5 to £13 depending on the value and covering the cost of the bat (which i always do)
-
ah okay yeah will definitely get cover. Thanks for the help
-
Also, do hermes provide the box etc? Would I just need to wrap it in bubble wrap
-
No you need to provide the box and bubble wrap etc
They will give you a label to print out
-
okay cheers-do you know of any companies that box them? cheers
-
I don’t know sorry
-
no problem mate. Lastly, where would I go to buy an adequate sized box?
-
Your best bet is to buy a new bat from one of the sponsors, then recycle the box that gets delivered in! ;)

I used myhermes signed for delivery. Wrap bat in bat cover with parcel tape. Costs around £5 but depends on weight.
Take photos for proof before and after wrapping pre postage.
Avoid royal mail as it's very expensive,my personal experience.

So just wrap the bat and cover in parcel tape, no need for bubble wrap+box? I'll definitely look into using myhermes. cheers

UPS can provide boxes

Well that's what I did.i sent bats 4 times using same method.

Use the next day delivery service from the post office it is very reliable and at £11 ish reasonable in price. Medium parcel size (cylinder shape).
