Best way to send/post a cricket bat??
« on: June 17, 2019, 07:45:48 AM »

Just sold an old cricket bat and wondering what the best thing to do is regarding sending it as I've never sent one before. Any advice much appreciated ie which company to use, should I use a courier service etc.

Thanks a lot

Wel it would depend on if you add Cover to the parcel and the value of the bat which you enter when you order the courier. So can vary from anywhere from £5 to £13 depending on the value and covering the cost of the bat (which i always do)

Your best bet is to buy a new bat from one of the sponsors, then recycle the box that gets delivered in!  ;)

I used myhermes signed for delivery. Wrap bat in bat cover with parcel tape. Costs around £5 but depends on weight.
Take photos for proof before and after wrapping pre postage.
Avoid royal mail as it's very expensive,my personal experience.

So just wrap the bat and cover in parcel tape, no need for bubble wrap+box? I'll definitely look into using myhermes. cheers
