New GM bat is the Icon. Looks to be a whitey grey colour. Hero looks to be in yellow.

-
Oooo the icon looks really nice
-
Does that writing under the Purist mean that they are making the bats by computers?
-
Yes they have all new machinery and processes at GM, and this seasons bats will be a significant improvement on previous years, mainly due to how they are pressing the bats.
-
Cool, will have to look out for them!
-
Don't see why they have changed the hero stickers.
-
Can't believe they don't have the Canon range anymore ...
-
Yeah dissapointed about no more Cannon, saw quite a few of them and looked really good.
-
Weird they got rid of the Canon after just 1 year... lol
-
I suppose it was the bat in the range that sold the leist last year. How long was the duellist around for?
-
2 i believe
-
i thought the duellist has been around longer than that though. That may just be Australia.
-
The icon looks quite nice i think but i liked the canon when i used it.

-
After hating the way GMs have looked for ages, I finally like them
-
Does that writing under the Purist mean that they are making the bats by computers?
Thats what i do for work but Im in the Engineering Field.
Oh my goodness I would love to design cricket bats as a living!
It sounds very interesting.
CAD is as mentioned drawing up designs on the Computer to be manufactured.
Now to apply for a position!!! Lol!!!

You think they actually use that program, or they use something else. My dad is also in the engineering trade master. Do you specialise in any part of engineering
-
You make the shape you want by hand and have it copied by the machine which will them spew out 1000's of copies regardless of the weight, balance or quality of wood. If that is the best way to make a bat then I would be surprised as it happens to be the cheapest way.

I use programs made for the building industry; they most proabably have a program for sports specific areas that gives you information about performance, durablilty, cost and other crap; but as long as you know how to design you can always learn other programs.
I work in Mechanical Engineering (HVAC) in Australia.

Eurghh horrible keeping gloves.
-
Agreed! One thing I dislike about GM is their keeping gloves!! And their shoes too...
-
I like the GM shoes, had them for the last 3 years and no problems.
