they have the normal ones like last year but the yeallow one is called Gunn & Moore 707 Teknik Lite Batting Pads

Does that writing under the Purist mean that they are making the bats by computers?

Thats what i do for work but Im in the Engineering Field.

Oh my goodness I would love to design cricket bats as a living!

It sounds very interesting.

CAD is as mentioned drawing up designs on the Computer to be manufactured.

Now to apply for a position!!! Lol!!!

You think they actually use that program, or they use something else. My dad is also in the engineering trade master. Do you specialise in any part of engineering

You make the shape you want by hand and have it copied by the machine which will them spew out 1000's of copies regardless of the weight, balance or quality of wood. If that is the best way to make a bat then I would be surprised as it happens to be the cheapest way.

I use programs made for the building industry; they most proabably have a program for sports specific areas that gives you information about performance, durablilty, cost and other crap; but as long as you know how to design you can always learn other programs.

I work in Mechanical Engineering (HVAC) in Australia.
