Thought I would post a few pics of one of my newest bats!
Not sure that I will ever review it totally as I'm not sure yet if I will use it...as it's a bat made for a legend!
It's a beauty of a bat and weighs 2'10 (2'11/12 with grips and all the trimmings) but picks up more like 2'9!
The mallet test is beyond belief!!
Anyway, hope you enjoy the pics, although can't find camera so taken with iphone which is rubbish!!

Thats all folks....

Jesus in wooden form.
-
Absolutely James! 8)
-
How much?
-
A good price - not cheap. But considering the quality and who it was for, then it was extremely reasonable!
-
Looks different gravy that Pete. However, after 27 of years of Adult league cricket, I was shocked at how good my Black Cat Shadow was today. Amazing
-
I just got my Black Cat out to use tomorrow! Looking forward to it now!
And not Gilly - it's Freddies. :D
-
Ahh ok, I had a second look and deleted that post before seeing yours. Freddie has changed shape drastically then! I'll get pics of some of his Woodworm's when at Hunts next.

I've picked up a few of them, they're incredible bats!

i can offer you £5.97 posted pete, i dont think you'll get another offer like that ;)
absolutely lush bat mr hosk, using it would be like betraying its grains :(
-
Lol...I bet I wouldn't get another offer like that!
I may use it evenually but for the moment, I will just stroke it when I'm feeling down a bit, and it perks me right up again! ;)
-
I will take it off you from free and you pay the p&p now theres an offer Pete.
-
mmmmm im perky and i havent even stroked it, just licked the screen of my computer :D 8) ???
i can offer 4 paracetemol tablets, one coaster, 2 african land snails (value £1 each) and a watford mousemat, you can pay p&p for the bat and my items. deal?
-
i will knock it in for you for free and use it a few games can not be any better than that
-
Well you would need it longer than a few games the way you bat bud, reckon you would take a season to knock that in.
-
I would pay for postage the bat and can give it to my 8 month old son to knock in for you it you want, he seems pretty adept with a (plastic) mallet, so I am sure would do a great job.
On the down side, he has very sharp teeth and has chewed through the grip on his bat (all 8 month olds should have a bat) and has started on the handle so you may need a new grip if you ever got it back... not to mention the damage if he ever got hold of the blade.
It is a good job he hasn't started crawling into the garage yet to eat my cricket equipment (yet)

what what love it rich scoring runs is the game boycott style is my name
-
Great offers fellas....all very tempting and tough to choose between them! :-[
One of my dogs licked the bat this morning and started humping the sofa. I kicked the dog out and he was last spotted on a pedalo heading up the river Thames!...so there's obviously some magic potion in Freddies bat!
-
Not seen Fred humping may dogs to be fair lol perhaps its still fresh with his odour.
-
Surely it can only be fair to let everyone bask in the glory and splendor of this wand
-
some chap on csf could use his patented 'knock it in with a rock' technique for you?
-
alvvaro what is this
-
LOL alvaro you legend

On this thread Dave...
-
i was really bored so i decided to take the piss a little......probably makes me as bad as him at the end of the day. Anyway - should anyone want to save time, go out to your backyard, pick up a stone, hit it against your bat and hey presto - bat is knocked in!!!
You can use hard objects to knock a bat in (coopers hammer or lignum vitae) but these have to be used very carefully otherwise you could completely mess up a bat, i just didnt want forum members to take up his idea and start smashing rocks against bats!!!
-
Anyway - how does one acquire such a bat mr.hosk.......contacts or large bank balances? Or both :D
-
Did you get this from Mr Pack as he was making Freddies bat's before his enforced layoff?
-
This one was from Mr Pack, by way of a freind being in the right place at the right time!
So pure luck....but I like to think that fate brought us together! 8)
And not cheap, but not mega expensive either. In fact reasonable for the quality!
