I wasn't playing but our 1st team opener made chasing 140 easy on the weekend....
http://minehead.play-cricket.com/scoreboard/scorecard.asp?id=10874592
45 balls!
-
We had a 45 ball hundred the other day at my Sunday club, my quickest ton is 68 balls...
-
thats good going Buzz! I'd consider a quick ton for myself in anything less than a run-a-ball!
-
I know its not a ton, but one of our openers scored 50 in under 7 overs, the score was only on 60 also!
He was out the next ball!
-
My quickest is 82 balls, first 50 was 29 balls though.
-
My quickest was of about 60 balls. This however was in college cricket when i was in year 10.
-
Quickest I have seen is 36 balls at junior level and 41 at senior level. My quickest 50 is 22 balls.

Local club to myself
-
Scored 102 from 43 balls including a 6 through the doors of the police station next door!!
-
Not sure of the number of balls but someone scored a 100 against us yesterday off 7 overs. One bowler got hit for 40 off 2 overs
-
that is a maximum off 33 balls so that is rapid unless it was 8 ball overs?
-
huh dont get it mate
-
surely 42 balls?

i got a 50 in 7 overs yesterday :) the score was on 75 though i managed to stay in a bit longer than your opener after that lol :)
-
one of our guys got a 30 ball hundred this season. 115 in 36 balls, including 13 sixes. impressive given his bat if held togethet with insulating tape.
-
My first was 94 balls (50 in 38) http://bradleystokecc.play-cricket.com/scoreboard/scorecard.asp?id=10885376
My league ton (which I think was quicker) wasn't scored with balls faced :(
-
Fastest was off 58 balls in a district match earlier in the season. Having said that my average for district is 233 so its a dodgy standard!

you still have to get the runs and if you are out of form time at the crease is so important, they all count.
-
A guy playing for another club in my evening league got 180 odd not out off 58 balls.

-
i've only hit the one ton, which was about 90-95 balls. i've twice hit 50 off 15 balls, but in low standard village cricket!
-
101 off 63 balls was my quickest. cornwall vs cheshire in under 12's
-

scoring a ton aged U12 is a cracking piece of work...!
-
Seen a kid hit 153* in an U12 match.. Not a clue of balls faced though.
-
Must say i havent scored enough tons to count how many balls i have faced.
I did score a 13 ball 50 while on tour in Bournemouth, which included 32 off the 1st 6 balls.
Played in a league game where a member of our team score a 40 ball ton, some great range hitting seen.
-
Played against somebody who got 138* off 64 balls
-
I know someone that had a ton off about 10 overs. Took 2 wickets, but unsurprisingly had no maidens! ;)
-
Hhaaaha cheeky....!
-
I played in a match and my mate got 91 off just 28 balls. Shame we reached the target, I'd imagine 30 balls max. The same bloke hit 100 in 40 balls. Ridiculous.
-
Dug out the scorebook from my mates knock last season:-
11661.666466.46.14.6144.44626664111
50 in 14 balls
100 in 29 balls
117 in 35 balls
-
I scored 124* off 51 not sure how many it took to get to my 100 tho ???
-
Damn you sloggers ;)
-

50 in 14 balls
100 in 29 balls

Couple of the dots are byes, most likely fired down leg. We also lost 4 wickets for 4 balls in the middle of that lot. I faced the 5th ball and survived, chipping in with a cheeky 20 off 11 balls.
-
Damn you sloggers ;)
Quite, you've got to have one hell of an eye to hit it so well from the off. So jealous when I see people score that well that damn fast!! ;)
-
Also a very average attack and some short boundaries.
-
I had a 96* off 48 balls when I had to play at home so was put in 2nds but my quickest 100 was 147 off 81 balls ish (my highest score) but with at least 50 over slip at least 30 down fine leg and the rest over cow mind it was when I was a bowler with a good eye and was told to up the run rate I think I middled about 7 balls all knock it was a horror show

it all counts...
-
Yes but it was a sorry excuse for a knock I'm ashamed to call it my 1st 100 but was funny watching the oppo skipper tear his hair out
-

sounds interesting, what number did you come in and what was the score?
-
No.4 at that time batted 9 as was before the knee injury and i was a bowler but was known for a decent eye and getting little quick scores and we were something like 25-2 off 15 or something like that so the captain just said go have a swing and try to get the run rate back up in a pinch hitters kind of thing and was just my day it seemed it was the first time I saw 2 3rd men employed in a match
-
what score did your team finish on?

25-2 and your skipper sends in a pinch hitter? has to be the worst ever captain?! strauss would be shot if he did that!
-

I understand the logic, trying to get on with it, if you're that low on runs after 15 overs, nothing to lose but a 'tail-end' wicket!
-
It paid off!! Must have been one of those miracle moments. There's a fine line between genius and insanity. This was obviously an inspired decision. Saw the open field and chucked in a snicker :)
-
Was around 280 ish off 50 memory little fuzzy as was a while ago
We needed some quick runs so he thought why not believe me I was more shocked than anybody when he said get the pads on
-
I did a similar thing a couple of times after that but not as high up the order and high of about 40 but after the knee went I had to learn to bat properly so do that now ish but because of the way I used to bat I still have that confidence to know I can clear the ropes if needed
-
A bloke I used to play with scored 204* from 104 balls in an A grade game here in Australia this year. Hit the double ton in a session, 20 fours and 13 sixes. First hundred was from 69 balls and the second hundred was from 35. Here is a link to the article:

103* off 66 and 102 of 87 are my quickest. come to think of it my only 2 in league cricket. i have scored a 50 off of 17 balls before
-
not sure how many balls i got mine off. i hit 122no of about 30 overs and was made to retier in a sunday game lol
its not about how fast u can get it its just about getting it in 1st place.
-
our pro who was mainly a leggy scored a 100 off 28 balls i was batting the other end i was on 41 when he came in he scored 50 before me and i wasnt scoring particularly slow... :o
-
138* off 70 balls to take us to the final; our club have a reputation of beating teams in higher leagues during these 20/20 cups!
-
Not sure how fast my ton was, but i was 113 when i was 14 i think, and my quickest 50 was off 27 balls, on debut for 1s at 15
-
100 off 62
147* off 91
....(I think !!!)
-
100 off 58
50 off 11
255 off 115-118 we're not sure haha
-
106 from 42 balls. (100 from 41) and I played out the second over for a maiden !!!
-
My quickest is 107* off 48 balls on a soggy one:

-
not a hundred but someone from my club scored 99* off 33 balls before rain called off the t20 cup final, gutted as we got beat in the replay!
-
What an innings that was too! Could have easily scored 200!
-
I hate that I can't link to play cricket nk more so screen shots will have to do.
100 of 56 and 59 balls are my fastest two hundreds.

-
I scored 100* in 9 overs but not sure on balls faced or anything. But came in at 3 in the 5th over I do remember that lol. Without proof it's worthless though aha
-
Do fifties count? :o
-
Do fifties count? :o
If you scored 2 fifties in the same innings they do mate ;)
-
No idea what my quickest is but doubt it would less than a run a ball.
Scored 206 last season but took all day (7 hours)in a two day game last season
-

Spare a thought for us bowlers who call themselves allrounders :-[ once hit a fifty of 23 balls then my best mate ran me out
-
So I was robbed of a ton >:( :D
-

I got 42* off 12 balls in a school game (this makes me feel old as it was 7 years ago now), the limited number of overs robbed me of a hundred (and at the time what would have been my first 50)! :(
-
Thy fifty came on my school first xi debut a couple of years ago. I was the only one sledging guys three years older than me
-

Did you go to a posh school??
We used to have a cricket team, none of this first and second team malarkey! In that team there were 8 of us who played cricket for a club, a couple of people from the football team and anyone in detention who had their PE kit.
We played against teams who turned up in rugby kit and their shared kit bag consisted of 5 odd pads, 7 bats, a jumble of gloves and 2 communal boxes! Those were the days! :-[

How brave of you... Sledging guys a whole 3 years older then you. Lewis.. My hero (fluttering eyelids) ;) :D

I wish I was as 'ard as that ;)

8 weeks.

You forgot the obligatory being called gay for playing cricket (... or any other sport which wasn't Football) and the odd kid that turns up wearing his school shirt and fielding in his school shoes.
I work at a very privileged boys school these days - The kids don't know they are born! Sightscreens, Clubhouse, Umpires, Their own kit, Tours, no daisies on the square... Different world! No-one gets 'Gas-Masked' with the communal box there!!
-
Ahhhh they were the days gas masked with the communal box.... Mmmm I can still smell the musky aroma
-

It's just how I role ;) :D if you are lucky Number4. I'll give you some tips!
Yes Tis a private school. But we have none of these privileges . My school use my clubs dodgy wicket. So whenever I'm captain I bowl and let them face the 2 inch bounce .
Not as bad as my best mates school (whom ran me out). They are each given a coffin with their initials and if your bat isn't made in England you are dropped.
-

Our rector (head master for you Aussies) began to give me sledging quotes from square leg umpire.
He even said to one of their bowlers. Your bowling is a straight as Elton John

Sight screens, no need for those when you have red trees one end and a birch building at the other.
Clubhouse, we were lucky to be let in the sports hall to get changed!
Umpires, we had a science teacher with a lazy eye and a hearing aid, he was the only one who volunteered!
Those of us who played for a club had our own kit, which we had to share as the school budget never stretched to a cricket kit bag.
Tours, we played an away game once when nobody else had booked the ancient minibus, close enough...
Daisies on the square, we didn't even have a square, just a wonky strip of mowed lawn on a football pitch!
I'm starting to think I went to the wrong school! ;)

In England the said teacher would get sacked for that!

Rector? His banter sounds awful if he's dishing things like that out he needs a slap!
-
It was a comical moment as the boy involved thought id said it from non striker and kept trying to rattle me haha. I pulled him for four and he started bringing out this boy can't pull, call him a hooker. Sad times :(
-
Rector? His banter sounds awful if he's dishing things like that out he needs a slap!
His banter is poor but when you hear it from a teacher that normally tries to make everyone scared of him makes you chuckle!
-
Looks like posh school banter is god awful then!
-
Yes. Unfortunately it is. In a rugby school, any cricket banter from anyone but me is a breath of freshair!!
-

Try playing Eton College... Then you'll know what privileged is.
I would tell you, but it would only make me angry.

Who is your Head? Dame Edna!? Worst sledging ever. I thought for a sledge to be considered a sledge in Oz, you have to;
1. Threaten to kill/break/hurt the opposing player.
2. Drop the C-Bomb at any given point during that threat.
Lets be honest... Everyone knows there are only two verified ways (I'm pretty sure it is verified, possibly by the MCC, as they are so widely used...) to sledge in a school game;
1. Insult how poor (Financially/Standards) the other player/school is
2. Insult the other players Mum
-
If by Australia, you mean Scotland! :D
Yes, i live in sunny Scotland! Not Oz - yet!
-
Gingerbusiness. Tony Blair's school Fettes, they are the poshest team a posh school can play. They have caterers for the tea and have refreshments provides by Powerade. Haha :D

My bad for not reading more carefully.
Although there are more native Australians in the Scottish National Team, than true Scotsmen.

Trust me, Eton would see that as a challenge.
Eton play Harrow every year in a game at Lords, and have done for 150 years. And when I say Lords, I don't mean the practice square!
-
I don't support Scottish cricket as unfortunately it is bias to age, club, district and if you play at the club of the development coach. You can guarantee an academy place. Although I have plenty of time for John blain As he's been coaching me for the past few months and he agrees with me about the setup! Shame ECB don't give us any money :(

Well that showed me!!
-
I've played some fairly posh schools back in the day, Harrow was only a one-off home fixture I think, sadly. I did however play Repton...
I never had any posh banter though, we knew they were much posher than us and that was that.
Just the cocky little keeper who asks stupid questions like 'Do you blink when you hit the ball'. Hardcore sledging that.
Good memories though, all the same.

Haha! Cameron should also shoulder some blame! He partly led me astray! :D
-
i hit 113* off 63 balls 5 years ago.
i think my ton came up off around about 55 balls
-
104 off 54, managed to ton up with a 6 and then miss a straight one next ball...
-
203 of 109 balls is my best ever effort in a 40 over effort of 430 by the team!!
and a 17 ball 50 on 2 occasions, this is the only team that ever counted the balls so dont know my fastest 100.
-
106 off 45. That 106 was also in a team score of 125 ao!
-

Oh Dear!!!! Did you win the game???
-
No we were chasing 320 lol
