Yeh, hence why you only tend to see foreign players who have palyed against England in the last year.

Don't see how someone not good enough to play for their country can be a Cricketer of the Year. Ludicrous
You don't understand how the Wisden Cricketer of the Year awards work. You can only be selected once for it, and it takes into account your effect, as Mr Pinson says, on the English cricket season. Last year, Chris Read averaged 75 with the bat in FC cricket, and captained Nottinghamshire to a well deserved championship. He is also, as Dave mentioned, one of the 2 best keepers in the country, along with Fozzy. Much deserved, if you ask me.

Ahh, you get it now! Well I'm still posting my rant, it took me long enough! Tamim had a massive effect, his performances against us over here were nothing short of phenomenal, I think that's why they gave it to him. He gave Bangladesh a genuine chance of winning against us!

I agree, but for me, watson and trott should be in there over iqbal and laxman
Tamim was awesome last year. 800+ runs at nearly 60. Laxman was also pretty awesome, his hundred at Colombo(all scored on the final day) was magical, as was his 73no vs Oz at Mohali where he batted injured to see India home.
