I still think he should have been given more of a go in the England side. I'd herd he was a bit of a boy when he was down under in one of the England performance sides and upset the selectors.......

Would be an excellent signing for Hampshire. In my opinion he's the best keeper in the country, and if not for Prior's form with the bat, he should be the starting keeper for England. Never really understood why they never gave the lad more of a run.

Would have fit into Freddie and Harmy's darts team shall we say...

Best glovesman on the planet, best since Russell. Better than Gilly and Healy. One of a kind and England should have noticed this years ago, worked on his batting (which isn't that bad, just not Prior's standard)

From a selfish point of view, hope he signs for us

I always thought Chris read was the best gloveman since Russell...

Pothas mate.

On the subject, Bates scored a 50 today, which is good to see. His keeping is second to only Foster and Read in the country if you ask me, give him a chance!

His keeping is good, wouldn't go so far to say he's better than Pothas though mate!

Good to see he got some runs today, his average is awful this year, but he's learning from the best!
