Very similar to a GT. Nice.

Glad to hear our advice had absolutely no effect on you :D

Trust me it did my friend, I just couldn't quite justify traveling to Kent to have it made. I know the pick ups would be incredible and they look like a lovely product, it's just if I spent 200 hard earned minimum wage quid on a bat that I didn't like once I received it (in the case that I went online shopping), I would be bummed.

You have to admit though the chase is a lovely looking blade and Tim Bayne at Fordham Sports just showed me how much better the ping was on this particular bat compared to all the other Chase 175s and all the Newbery GTs and Thruxtons which were the ones I was looking for originally. The amazing bats were a Puma Kinetic 5000 (the blade really looked like a 6000) which was orgasmically good, but was out of my budget at £244.99 cos it had been run in and a Newbery Uzi SPS and a Krakatoa SPS. They were too expensive at 250 quid as well. I did not like the Gunn and Moore bats. They were pressed too hard, just didnt have enough natural spring as the non ready play bats but picked up like beauties. There was a mighty gun of a SS Platinum Reserve which was £220 squid, but I have had bad bad experiences with Indian bats... handles are too whippy, willow is too dry.... however I did score my first 50 with a bat that was made by whoever made MRF english willow bats back in 2003. I think it was an exceptional case. Newbery TT Players was a lovely bat at 189.99 but it just didnt feel or look right, having that shortened blade.

It was really between the Chase and a Newbery Thruxton Players. Both 2lb 10, picked up like 2lb 8, but the Chase blade just performed better....

I have recommended H4L to the players I coach and they love the graphics of the bats, bless em theyre only 11-13 years old so they all have mongeese and silly bats like that. Some are clever and have bought Thruxtons and Krakatoas.
