Trust me, that £1000 will seem much more once you go out and earn it.

don't forget if you earn £1000 you will only have about £680 in your bat fund once you have paid tax and ni- I'm sure rates in Canada will be similar...
you may meet to earn nearer £1500 which was my monthly income for my first job...

Indeed. My point is CD is quite happy to point out that he does not work for a living. Not until you get home from work and are absolutely exhausted is it that you realise the value of money.
