Out of curiosity does anybody here know what  willow grade the Powerbow Titanium bat from 2010 was? Thank you in advance.

probably covered/fake grains - the gn models with words describing them are usually so

In the description for GN bats of old it says the bat had titanium in the handle much like "carbo" bat's used carbon fibre in the handle but it didn't mention the grade. It doesn't look covered and the grains most certainly aren't fake however the grain structure isn't even close to grade 1 quality, 8 wavy grains. However the Owzat article regarding willow grading is contrary to this.
   
Grade 1 plus - G1+.... the very best of English willow, often reserved for the manufacturers own Pro Players and utilised in such bats described as Limited Edition, Ultimate, SPS or Pro-Performance. Unbleached with straight even grains and absolute minimal marking or discolouration in the face.
Grade 1 - G1 .... top quality English Willow, used in such bats described as Pro, Original, Titanium, Premier or Players. Good straight grain structure and unbleached with minimal marking or discolouration in the face.
Grade 2 - G2 ... Unbleached English Willow with some irregular grain patterning and some minor blemishes and possible reddening in the blade.
Grade 3 - G3 ..... Usually unbleached English Willow with irregular grain pattern and some marking and discolouration in the blade.
Grade 4 - G4 ... English Willow usually bleached and often non oil with a covering to the face of the bat.

I'm pretty sure the titaniums were top grade, will see if I can dig out some old catalogs

I myself have only used it in about 3 matches but it mostly ends up being used in matches and nets by team mates which love it, it weighs about 2.10 but I much prefer my match bat just wanted to know as I've been asked on numerous occasions what grade It's actually supposed to be! Thanks for all of the responses, it's much appreciated:)

I thought so, It's just that the bat doesn't really look g1.

a number of higher range bats don't look the part and a number of lower grades look a million dollars so i don't work off looks alone. Think there was a GM 909 on here which had 18 grains or something like that and could have been put up as an orginal Le as it looked that good and i had a top end Ricky Ponting Kahuna which had 8 grains and looked nothing special in regards to looks.
