I am not sure that I would go for Anderson over Philander though - Vernon would be a good workhorse for the side, which is not Jimmy's strength, and would complement two strike bowlers perfectly.  If Jimmy were to make it he'd have to oust Steyn (unlikely) or Morkel (likely, if he were taller)

No question that Philander is a very compotent bowler but i wonder how he'll perform on dead india track or flat slow west indian track. Both of his 10 fers came against weak opposition in bowling friendly conditions (nearly artic conditions in NZ if i remember) and at Brisbane Clarke and Hussey tucked into him where he went wicketless for 100 odd. 

For me i think a World XI that could play in any conditions takes a bit more consideration as a World XI that played in india would be different to one that played at Lords in may.
