Always had 2 pairs of gloves in my bag dont know why as never needed to change during an innings think i just left them in after buying a new pair once

spare pairs are handy for nets or next day games

I now have 3 pairs, Salix Pod Arma, GM 505 d30 and an old Slazenger pair (not sure of the model). All are quite good quality but I just rotate them so I wear one pair one week and another the next etc... Slazengers are 2 years old now and are on their way out, Salix not far behind. I used to wear inners but I didn't find it made any difference to how sweaty the gloves get, and I find it more comfortable gripping the bat with just the gloves on. If they aren't comfy now they will be once worn in in my experience.

The best way to use both pairs of your gloves is to bat for the full innings ;).

What I do is use my sausage gloves if I feel my bottom hand is taking over or for long format games and my split finger gloves for short format games or if my top hand is doing the work. But for you I would do the Training/Match way.

I always find that rotating my match gloves, makes them last a lot longer (overall).

I like to have at least three pairs of batting gloves. One for nets and then two for mid week and weekend games. It's also great to be able to change your gloves during a long innings.

I keep a spare to stop team mates wanting to borrow my good ones...
