Hi sorry I have just seen this post you mentioned EBAY I don't like the sound of that always suspicious of bats on there (that's only my view ) in the past  the more the B&S bats are used the better they become of late the factory have improved there pressing technique through the purchase of a new press and most B&S bats ping from the off in general the more work done on the bat from the beginning the better it will play this I am sure applies to all brands so if it is an older model then yes it will get better and better with time

Thanks Gary. And as for buying bats on ebay, I agree that there are a lot of fakes but you can also find some real gems.
