I was going to have a chirp about fielding standards, but after watching the associate nations in the field I can have no complaints...

In isolation they are good hitters, but you can see the top order trying to resist the 'see of the shine' attitude that has been drilled into them since the year dot....

Lumb, Hales, Morgan, Buttler don't strike me as the worst bunch of power hitters in world cricket. Even Ravi Bop, Ali, Wright, Bres can hit a ball. I think the seam bowling and death bowling is more of a problem. Still think we'll lose every game and maybe (if they have a bad day) scrape past the Netherlands.

Only Buttler can hit straight down the ground though - that's where we're lacking. Instead of trying to play across the line to spin all of the time, we don't have anyone who can attack the spinner by coming down the track and hitting them back over their head.

Taylor?
He got MoM in his first game but faded. It was quite funny that he thought he was getting a nice pay day until the Worcs coach told him it went straight into the players' kitty.

Yep his name was David Taylor, i played with him at High Wycombe and you are right he got MoM 1st game as no-one knew who he was but then worked out what was was going etc... and he did nothing for the rest of the matches.
