home made mallet
« on: May 31, 2014, 01:08:55 AM »

I've just finished my own hi-tech version.
http://

Shaft is steel, the head is aluminium and the faces are delrin.
Overal length is 12.5", the head is 2.5 diameter x 3.375" and the faces are 3" diameter x 0.625" with a 3.5" radius front.
Weight comes in at a massive 3lbs 7ozs, this is a mallet for real men only ;)

About a days work, materials were around £30 but it's what I had in the workshop already.
