I try and contribute in the field as much as I can saving runs, diving etc. as a means to vent out.

Get extremely frustrated if no one else performs and we lose.

I used to get angry, throw stuff etc. but these days I just sit somewhere in corner and sulk!!!

Why can't the chuffing mower just live somewhere else? Ridiculous. Next there'll be a herb garden on the wicket because it gets the most sun.....

Rough area, vandalism etc. We have a tiny compound, the net was made to fit exactly(which means it's tight to net in!) and easily gotten in and out through the gate.
Off course the new gang mower is twice the size of old, so blocks it's removal now...it's a farce yes.

We had a net made that was awesome, but too large for the compound, 1 day later, there wasn't a straight bar on it, or a section of net that hadn't been ripped. Joys of housing estate cricket clubs!

I don't think I've played well all season this year at any point but I just find I get disappointed in myself rather than all annoyed. I still score runs but just  not in the mannor I want or as many as I want :(

Still, playing is bette than not so all good.

Last season in Aus I only had one score over 10 which was in the first game and batted from opener down to 4th. First half of the season Id get pretty upset with myself, second half I was on a rampage every time, smashing all my kit and making a fool out of myself. The last couple I would end up just laughing as I couldnt believe my luck.

I don't get annoyed when I don't perform because I never perform in the first place. I play cricket because I love it, not just because I am good at it. Just saying, last season I did not get a bat above 8, highest score 1* (only got out once the whole season) and bowled 4 balls. So yeah, never been "in form"

I get annoyed because the last few seasons I have had to score the majority of the runs. Yesterday was the same, I'm more annoyed that I got to 60 and was well set but got bogged down looking for boundaries needing more than a run a ball to win and gave it away. We have struggled all year with me being the only one averaging over 20 in the league, I haven't had the best season averaging just short of 40 but the pressure on my shoulders as captain included has taken it's toll and started to cause injury

I had an okay season with the bat,

last season I averaged 12 this season 53 which is a bit of a jump that certainly surprised me!

But with the ball it has been dire, 5 early wickets have flattered my figures. Ended up taking only 9 or something stupid.

We had a friendly the other day and I bowled etc for ages to only face 3 balls and then go home.

I was fuming!

Looking back ... when I was younger I felt less pressure and when getting out I got upset but nothing major. I am now mid 30's and as a senior player I feel I have to lead the way in my team. I open the batting and have been leading run scorer for the last few years. However as a result, when I get out I get the "red mist"! I make a conscious effort not to explode infront of people, but once inside the changing room my gear takes a pounding and the air turns blue. I am a naturally laid back guy and handle pressure at work daily. I think it is related to realising that my competitive cricketing career is nearing an end, wanting to leave a legacy (stories in the bar) and maximising my time at weekends. I do not think its bad to show that you care but I am very conscious that I do not want to set a bad example to youngsters. I have found that a solitary walk round the boundary listening to aggressive music helps (until you bump in to the bowler who got you out at fine leg!).

This has been a biggest problem for me and also the most important factor affecting my batting. In preseason, I get plenty of practice because everybody's available for the indoor nets. Because of so many batting opportunities, I bat very well in the nets. Things unfortunately take a turn for the worse when the actual season starts. Either 5 to 10 minutes batting session once a week or none at all. My batting takes a nosedive.

Now the season is coming to an end and I have 2 to 5 games left. I am just not ready for it yet. I don't feel I have had any satisfying games this season. And, I kid you not, I'm already planning a preseason for the next season.

I'm getting grumpy now!

Biggest problem at our club is lack of practice.  Despite promises upon promises of nets when the midweek league has finished not one has been organise yet.
wyet.when you questions this. They say no numbers for one. Yet when you get there sat there's atleast 8 that all say they wanted a net but was told no numbers.

Organised a net myself last wed and got 70 at weekend. My highest score of the season.

but again it's wed and club claims "no net not enough interest"

I get upset only if I made a massive effort at club training and also supplement that with personal training and get out cheaply.

Well considering this was my first season I wasn't expecting much. But it's been quite disappointing really, I am a bowler but get played as a number 5 batsman. But I've had 5 ducks, and my highest score is 4 which was from my only boundary, which is quite embarrassing. Before my team mates made excuses that I came when there was a collapse or near the end of the innings. But then I got my chance at number 3, and yeah, I got out for a golden duck. I felt like actually quitting.

The two times I've gotten to bowl I've got 3 wickets but only bowling 1.4 overs overall, and don't know if it's a real indication as I've been brought in to bowl when there's tailenders.

I put a lot of effort in the field, I don't know why, but it's just something that I do. My friends call me the 'specialist fielder' since I'm usually diving about saving boundaries or taking catches. Never thought I would be a 'fielder' in the team haha. Thing is though, I still get picked which is puzzling, but when I've played, we've only lost three games out of 16m while losing 5 when I've not played. Maybe I'm just a non-contributing good luck charm  :D

What sometimes frustrates me is a few times I've not batted or bowled in a game, that's what annoys me the most.

I don't get annoyed when I don't perform because I never perform in the first place. I play cricket because I love it, not just because I am good at it. Just saying, last season I did not get a bat above 8, highest score 1* (only got out once the whole season) and bowled 4 balls. So yeah, never been "in form"

This post kind of sums it for me, but I just rambled!
