Cook for Hales (cos they have to!) and Tredders for Stokes.

We have to at least compete in the next one, although personally I like Morgan captaining, I think it brings out the best in him, so I would leave Hales in for Cook.

I'm really pleased Taylor did well, he's been knocking at the door for a while now.

Got to agree, Taylor will get his chance now for a run in the side and I fully expect him to start the World Cup.  Cook will come back in for Hales, who may find he's better suited to the Aus/NZ pitches.

Stokes looks like his confidence is totally shot to pieces, bring Tredwell back in.

Taylor should be getting the spot over Bell as I think we need to look to the future now with our team selection.

We arent up there as tournament favourites and now is the time to bring on the next generation of ODI players who have worked their way up through the England ranks. Picks such as Bell and Cook arent a step forward in terms of the way the game is now played with strike rates and 300 runs being a par score in 50 overs.

Sadly as Cook is captain he will return at the price of dropping someone who is most likely to be Hales as Cook's only position is to open. We need the likes of Morgan and Stokes to find some form again and thats only going to be done by getting game time. Lets just hope they find it soon!

For me,,Taylor's the only hint at what England can bring to the modern one day game.
He has an excellent eye, always looking to score, not afraid to hit over the fielders and exciting to watch.

Life after KP?

It would be beautiful if the man who brings life after KP is the man Pietersen quite literally belittled.
