So I picked this up recently, one of the group of "net" bats made by Blank Bats.

As you can see, it's not the prettiest bat in the world. In fact, it looks better in the pictures than in person.  Wobbly grains, heartwood, speckled in places and a dark patch on the back. Does that matter, not to me.

Pick up was my main concern, with lots of wood down in the hitting area, I am very pleased with the pick up.  Feels like there is just the right amount of weight and balance for me.  I have found I hold my shape better with this bat and can control the shots very well.

Performance is really good.  Having a couple of light net sessions, the middle looks to be big and forgiving.  The ball rockets off it.  There is a strange feel when you hit the ball outside of the middle, but that will go in time and knocking in.

This is going to sit at number 2 in my bat choices, behind the Dynadrive but I can quite easily see me upping this to number one and using this regularly in games.

I am going to remove the B&S stickers and the bat face, give it a freshen up and an oil then it will be ready.  Once this is done, I'll update the thread.

If anyone can get hold of one of these, in your weight range, I would highly recommend picking one up.

Jaffa, stolen your pics for the time being, hope you don't mind.

Doesn't look bad at all for a net bat, I'm the same performance over looks everyday !

Are the BB stickers still on under the B&S ones?

What weight is it?

I also want to buy a net bat from BB to see how they get on. Did you buy it directly from BB? Or from somewhere else?

One of the best bats I've had was a BB Butterfly with the stain on the back. This one has a similar (smaller) stain and similar performance.

For me though it picked up a little heavy for a bat under 2lb 9.5oz and I wasn't keen on the square toe.

Thanks to this forum, I have access to very decent willow. Thanks to this forum I've also become very picky.

Only the front one. Would love to have the BB stickers on it but the two back ones are missing.

It's 2:9 plain. I'd highly recommend one.

I got it from somewhere else, but you can get them from the guys directly.

I'm sure if you spoke to BB and explained you had the bat with photos etc you'd be able to get some new ones to put on it from them

@joeljonno - 100% agree with you. I hate net bats since they are of lower quality and handle ends up vibrating like hell. BB net bat is an exception, the handle vibration is very less for a net bat .. Got one of the BB net bats from the sale thread.

I feel the same way but it is very hard to find world class performers that look like products of ugly trees. I don't think bat makers care about making such bats as the demand is virtually non-existant.
