Your front foot is going the wrong way, it seems to move towards the ball slightly not too the leg side. A sign that this is an issue is that you are playing drives through the offside, not a dirty hoik to cow corner!

If you set your trigger to open up that front foot while the bowler is in his delivery stride that should get you into the perfect position to get a big arcing swing of the bat and hear a number of moo's from all and sundry around the bat!

Hope this helps 😉

I've heard of the "Death Rattle"

But I imagine this is more of a "Death Explosion"

Almost KP Flamingo-esque with the back foot. But, not what uncle Buzz taught you!

I pretty much agree with what everyone has said above.

I would like to open a further debate i have often considered and that is about the use of Bowling Machines in general.

I really find them bad for practice and often have made my technique worse. I think this has a lot to do with the fact that i have a trigger movement and getting the timing right when using a bowling machine and someone feeding can often prove tricky.

Also i find a lot of people just go into 'hitting mode' or 'shot a ball' - as the others have said it just becomes repetitive and if you are doing it incorrect it can make things worse plus a massive thing for me as an opening batsman is a find that i end up not leaving any balls - so fish at deliveries i should be leaving etc...

it is each to their own of course.... thoughts?

For me, I find facing throw downs or people actually bowling at you a lot easier, as I also have a trigger movement. I find that a bowling machine can really throw you off and knock everything out of sync and balance. Also, facing people bowling can give you a good perspective of what you may face during a game and gives you an idea on what to leave and to play at.

@Kez .... At least I practice what I preach ;).

Nothing better than not picking up a bat all winter, helping the firsts out as they were short and then getting told to open the batting  :(

Never mind the stumps - being bowled by a guy in black socks is a career low!!!
