I tend to do a lap of the ground (if it isn't too big) then I do about 5 minutes of stretching, mainly legs and back. I then join the rest of my team for some football and fielding drills. If we bowl second I will usually do the run and stretch again before we go out to field. If we are batting second I try to keep my hamstrings, quads and groin loose as they tend to tighten up quickly, I don't want to pull anything on a quick single.

Does anyone play another organised sport which they don't warm up for?

I still play hockey and I don't warm up for that either.

Just to prove how bad warming up is for you!

We used to kick a football about as a warmup and i was heading out onto the pitch playing keepy up. Wasnt really paying attention to where i was planting my foot and i managed to go over on my ankle. I actually thought i'd broken it as the pain was immense. Severe sprain on my ankle. i didnt play again that season(this was early july), was off work for a week and on crutches for 3 weeks and was still limping 3 months later.

warming up is bad for you!!

warming up is bad for you!!

Ha, that is unlucky. I'm more talking about a cardio warm up with either static or dynamic stretches to ready muscles. I don't really like playing football before our game but I join in a little for the team. One thing my body does not like; multiple sports at once.

hate warming up worst thing about i level i play at is pretty much made to warm up.

we tend to kick a football about for 10 mins and then do catches and bowling batting etc

pretty simple compared to other teams etc who have team coaches running the warms up before the games flexi stumps and all that jaz

There's usually complaints if I expose my "Flexi stump" on the outfield before a game
