Customers like me also, if the price is right of course.  Saying that, my current lid isn't cloth covered, but always have preferred them.

Yes, producing the plastic shell version will bring the price points down but the tooling up fees are considerably more than the carbon fibre one.....crowdfunding maybe an option to explore as a way of getting it off the ground and to market.

Ha, getting tooled up means something very different where I grew up!

Thanks, useful feedback. The cloth covering sample is underway currently to pin down the template for the cloth shape in order to cover them. Hopefully it’s potential customers like you that I can cater for with this model thereby opening up a larger % of the market with this model.

Hey its ok to call us "traditionalists" old buggers if you like ;)

For those that don’t follow my social media channels, I’ve got a very limited edition gloss finish version of the TradAYR’s available.

I’ve had these produced as an experimental batch as historically I’ve always gone with a matte finish.

Drop me a PM (might take me a while to reply as I don’t get notifications anymore That I’ve received one) or email at tom@ayrtekcricket.com if you want to secure one (there are only 2 available!).

Is that a painted Carbon or have you been able to transfer the moulding process to plastic now?

Painted Carbon, the plastic version will require investment.

Realistically yes, as a small 1 man company and having fairly recently brought the cricket side of the company off the parent company to run as my own entity I’d need some assistance in getting it up and running in the plastic model.

However the price would obviously be cheaper to both manufacture and therefore purchase in plastic (as with the other range).

Great stuff, nice to see one in use out in the middle as a few people have asked about some of them in action 👍
