Niall: Bell has just come off the back of a fantastic tour of SA for him. KP is, well, KP. I would have given him a rest for the ODI's I think, but they stuck with him, so they may as well stick with him for rest of the tour. Kies isn't ready for it yet!

the question was "How do Bell or Pietersen deserve places over Kieswetter?"
the answer is that KP averages 48 from 58 test matches with 16 hundreds (even when out of form in SA he picked up a pretty useful 81) and Bell has been one of our form players during the last 6 months, alongside Collingwood as well as having an outstanding record agains the Bangers...

Kieswetter has not done anything like enough to oust either of them.

My question is why are people constantly asking to change the team when consistency of selection will allow players to develop. This is why our bowling unit is struggling because there is limited consistency of selection.

whats prior done to get dropped niall?

I said nowt about Prior getting dropped.... had Bell not made that ton in SA, Which any able bodied person given that amount of chances would have, people would be calling for his head, he's not good enough..... Pietersen would have been dropped long ago was it not for his amazing run of form when being brought into the England side.... Perhaps Kieswetter is not the best replacement but the other to don't deserve to be there, especially on this tour, the selectors are idiots, the likes of Rashid and all people who will be looking to break into the test side over the next few years should all be given a chance, this shouldn't be a get into form tour for average players.

Rshid needs to play more cricket rather than being 12th man all the time... hopefully he will have a good summer in Yorkshire.

Niall... Who exactly do you class as average and in need of finding form? KP, with a test and FG average of roughly 50? Bell, who we all know has bundles of talent, and finally played that gritty innings we all needed to see from him in SA? Trott, who has played less than 10 tests for england and is just getting established? Prior, who has started to impress majorly with the gloves as well as giving important contributions with the bat? Or do you mean Colly/Cook, who have both been in really good form with the bat for the past year (or more in Colly's case)? Do enlighten me!
