If you were a yard and a half quicker you might be able to....

Touche!
And if you were fully fit for once i might not feel bad bowling at you off my full run up.....no fun when the prey is already dead in the water!

But i'll be the bigger man and have the last word - we'll leave it at that for now.

Just seen that Pietersen has failed again.....i think there are good reasons to drop him, but who would replace him?

I think it would be madness to drop him - and just to put my money where my mouth is, I will be off later to lob a fiver on him to make a ton in the first test.
Watch for the England team to be Cook, Trott, Pietersen, Collingwood, Bell, Prior, Bresnen, Broad, Swann, Treadwell, Onions...

And i wouldnt blame you - well worth a flutter!
Bresnan has probably done enough to warrant a place even though i still dont rate him as an international bowler.......i said the same for sidebottom 5 years ago and he has managed to stick around like a sh!tstain on the old porcelain!

I am not sure Bresnen is a test match player either, its just they need his all round contribution to balence the team due to them playing 5 batters plus Prior and Finn and Shahzad aren't ready, while Plunkett still sprays it.

Cook was bowing pies, so the opposition would score quickly and declare

If you watched the england players were just letting the ball go for 4 even when they could have stopped it

Good to see Finn bowling well as think in the near future we are going to need his Harmison like capabilities (by that I mean his pace and bounce...!) By all accounts he outbowled quite a few in this match including Plunkett and Bresnan. Not sure how quick he is but England definitely need a quickie and preferably a tall nasty quickie!

sounds like my normal fielding!

and I agree with you eaowbear - Finn is a real prospect, I hope he can come good

There is every reason for the selectors to drop Pietersen, except they wont, as he has built himself up a reputation and is bound to come good at some stage.
Would like to see Morgan get a chance in the test team, undoubtedly Englands best batsman at the moment.
