tempted by the CJI 5000 Ultimate - they say they hand pick the best 30 out of 100 clefts, so it ought to be better than most. That said £35 (ebay) posted is getting dangerously towards english willow refurb/G4/G5 territory. Sort of thinking about it as an experiment that I can report back to the forum about. ie. grains, ping, pickup etc. If the thing proves to be decent and more than a net/t20 bat then it's a bonus.
I bought a CJI Sumo LE that stayed with me for two hours before it went back because they had given me the wrong weight. The bats themselves seem to be alright, but unless you are getting one of the cheap ones, it's really not worth getting the more expensive Kashmir willow bats from them.
Off the mallet, the Sumo LE really wasn't as good as the Xiphos, and the Sumo is supposed to have a huge middle, and weighed the same.
