BE very careful while taking the stickers off. Unlike most UK bat makers / brands the stickers used by Indian companies are made from a thicker material which requires extra strong / more adhesive to be used.
Take it off bit by bit very slowly as you may pealing off some wood (even if you pull the stickers off side to side)
You are sure to see remains of the stickers for a long time. However, I has a bit of a luck this time. I experimented a bit. Lightly sanded off the stickered area and then applied the Salix bat wax to the lighter colored area. Be care full not to wax near the splice - I stuck masking tape over the splice extending 0.5cm over the outter part of the "V".
Leave the bat wax to get absorbed and then using a soft cloth rub the area where the bat wax was applied till you get a smooth finish. If you still see the faint marks. Repeat the process.
use a fine quality sandpaper. I suggest a no. 320 to start with and then for the final finishing used a number 400 (use 3M ones, they are the best)
hope I have not confused you.
