Hi.. I need some help here. I bought this new CA12000 Plus bat at a great deal, took off the stickers ( in hindsight i regret it) , and gave it one good coat and then a light one , before knocking in the bat for about an hour. Now i see some wood peeling off, along one of the grains . The photos might help make sence of what i am saying. I need to know what went wrong? Did i knock it in too hard, or is it underoiled? Pls. suggest how to fix this? Would fibreglass tape help? Thanks in advance.
Fear not!

I can give you tips from my personal experience, that will make your bat bing crazy!
YOu, need to get your self down to pound store and buy some sand paper.
Then, sand the face clean! The cracks will become very very insignificant.
They are an indication that the grains are opening up and the bat is doing the businesses.
Then, after sanding it down, apply a clear hammer edge sheet.
And believe me the newly sanded surface will have crazy bing.
Make sure you play 20 odd overs in the nets are slow pace.
And believe me you will notice the difference, I have the same approach and have applied it to about half a dozen of my own personal bats. Never ever had a problem, in fact people ask me why my bats tend to ping so much.
