Hi there, I wanted to take the scuff sheet off my bat and give it a bit of tlc for the winter (scuff has been on there for a year and a half ish) I peeled of the scuff sheet to find the normal adhesive still on the face, although I noticed that these shards or curls of wood have been peeling off the blade, and have left little grooves where they used to be. Do I glue them back down or cut them off? Here are some pictures. Thanks

if you heated the scuff with a hairdryer thats less likley to happen

Your supposed to pull the scuff sheet across the grains in future mate :/! Otherwise that happens, instead of from toe to handle, go from edge to edge

It looks like you've also taken the scuff sheet off with the grain of the blade. you should always take scuff sheets off against the grain to stop these things happening.

I would say the best thing to do with these is to sand them down and make it as even as you can and then re-apply a new scuff sheet.

I would sand the face as smooth and flat as poss before putting a new scuff sheet on. Don't forget to go across the grain in future!
