its what i was told by fordham sports when i purchased my ricochet,  it basically gives you 14 days to knock it in properly
if you dont knock it in properly as instructed then it voids the warrenty

I have not heard of that before. If you are a keen bean you can get it knocked in rather quickly.

Did you use it within two wweks of purchase?
if so the warrenty is invalid as it only kicks in from the 15th day onwards

I've never heard or read that anywhere.

i had it knocked in within 5 days and used it.
why waste £30 on a company knocking it in when you can annoy the neighbours doing it

Fordham Sports talking complete horse poo. Warranties apply from the moment you buy a product. A manufacturer can choose to state that direct damage to the toe or edge caused by lack of proper knocking in could void a warranty, but not that the warranty only applies 15 days post purchase.

For the first four-five weeks you have a "right of rejection" - if the item you've bought breaks, you can demand a refund, but in the case of a cricket bat with obvious caveats.

Why I no longer shop at fordham's.  They are full of poo IMO.  Last time I tried to buy a bat there, I told them my budget, so they go and start showing me bats about £100 more than my budget saying they are better than what I was looking to spend.  Needless to say I walked straight out of there.  Romida's or IJC may be further away, but they are far nicer to deal with

The shop looks much more organised. Only downside is that they won't be able to put all their bats on display so they may have some hidden gems out back

They usually do have a few. I used to go in there with one of my old clubmates, who practically lived there! (Reckon he would if his missus let him!) Soon as he walked in, they'd pull out the good stuff!
