I thought I had seen it all...
« on: June 04, 2013, 10:46:35 AM »

...but it turns out I haven't after all.

Sunday one of my teammates asked me to fix a bat for him.  The bat has a large chunk cracked away from the toe - however, the chunk, which is still attached, is rigidly seperated and will not push back to be glued into place.  Thoughts?

Apologies for the lack of photo - one will follow if and when I get chance.

use a bat mallet to knock it back into place and then glue?

cut it out and insert a new piece of wood - assuming it's a small crack. Photo's would definitely help.

Thanks - it was fixed in the end, thanks to a mate who is training to be a surgeon and a scalpel so thin I couldn't see it - the problem was a small stone stuck way up in the crack!!!
