hi guys. i decided to have another go at shaping a bat. my 1st attempt was terrible so this is number 2.
i got the cleft from H4L so i new it would be good quality
this is a close up of the blade
a glance at the profile
a toes eye view
on this view you can see a few very small dents in the wood.im not too concerned about this as i thought it would come out during the sanding stage. but no amount of sanding seems to be working? i have done it by hand and also with an electric sander. im wondering now that the type off paper is to blame? there is also a number of these on blade.
is there anything i can do to improve the level of finishing. either technique or equipment wise? please note that i have not polished it or started the handle twine as yet.
im really pleased with this one especially after my first debacle.
also i apologise for the size of the images but have no idea how to alter it.
feel free to be as critical as you like. it can only improve the ones i do in the future
cheers
