I have found a solution!!

Thanks to George who sends the additional straps (towelled and thins), I now use the thin waste strap to stop my inner thigh pad creeping around the inside of my leg!

How?

Well, I attach one end on my main thigh pad and then run it around behind my bum and attach it to the inner thigh pad!

This makes it impossible for the inner thigh pad to creep around the inside of my leg as it is being held back by the extra strap!

Problem for all intents and purposes - solved!

I will road test it in the match next weekend, but I am 100% certain, that it is not possible for the inner thigh pad to creep and get in that awkward spot between both my bloody thighs!!

Praise Jesus!

Vic you're an innovative star !

PS if anyone at all (including you Vic ;), ) would like to have a video chat so I can see the current shapes you have and look to help you get the right shape please just give me a shout on george@strettonfoxsports.com. Sometimes it's the small details that make all the difference.

Cheers !

Sorry to bring up an old topic but I have had an idea!
Has anyone else tried putting two straps on their inner thigh pad to stop the creep??

I had the idea to put the towelled straps on all my guards (as was suggested earlier) and put an additional thin white strap on my inner thigh pad. I have the towelled one on the bottom with the white one slightly higher. I then cross them over at the back of my leg so they are fastened in an X shape.

I have no idea if this will work or not but thought it was worth suggesting  :)

I did that with Georges last night at the oval net. Worked a treat.

I have tested this fix in the last couple games and it works perfectly.

No more inner thigh pad creep around.

My Stretton Foxes are now simply unbelievable and I almost grin like a mad man when a fast delivery bounces off my thigh like bullets off Superman's chest for leg byes!!

You are a cast iron genius George!

Cheers,
Vic

Mr Fox...mine arrived yesterday and look great thank you!! My question is though I am of the same disposition as Mr Pye so fear a wandering inner pad, how much would it cost for one of those fandangle 'X' style straps?

The way I stop mine from creeping round is putting the waist strap through the loop on the inner thigh guard and then twist the loop 360, doesnt move anywhere then. I use the old thin strap for this, and the towel straps at the bottom of the guards round my thighs.

Safety pin the loop on the inner thigh, to the top strap of the out thigh once fitted, and it doesn't creep.

I may saw the inner to the strap one day to save me playing with safety pins.
