If the best women can play in the mens teams, could this mean the worst men should play in the womens teams?! Also I'm sure I've said this before, I wouldn't feel comfortable bowling anything back of a length or short at a woman.

I wouldn't worry at your pace Leo

Seriously!!! Lets just hope there are not many gender equality activists on here.

Or indeed transsexuals, as this would confuse Leo even further!

Really fancied one I played against once... distracted my bowling a treat :-[

Our opening bowler didn't and bounced her out.

Found out later she was captain of Hampshire Womans U23s or something! Decent player!

Saw Claire Taylor play for Reading CC. She was very good.

we have a ladies side with some excellant cricketers, a couple made the break through into our 2nd Xi last season after being a big part of our 3rdXi set up for the last few years

had a few rumblings with precious 2ndXI players saying they wouldnt play in the same side. i called their bluff and in the end they all palyed in the same side and were fine with it on the day

it did help that one girl in particular looks technicly brilliant as a batter, scores runs and is decent in the field, the others that have played have not looked out of place at all and i will be calling on them this sat

if they were available i would have had 4 ladies in my 2nd XI this sat, without them supplementing our sides on a sat we'd probably be down to 2 teams

I have a woman in my last man stands team. Bowling is good, batting needs a bit of work.

We had a woman who played England softball play for us for a few seasons. She was pretty good with the bat but her deep fielding was amazing. Only time I've seen someone run out from a flat throw direct from the boundary. Opposition never knew what to make of her.

My partner plays. She has played for years at her local club. Made the odd appearance for the 2NDS but mainly in the 3RDS where she took the most wickets in the league. Sadly she has been snubbed from the Yorkshire womens squad for the 2nd year running which I dont agree with obviously. She loves playing against the men as a lot of them under-estimate her and she loves the challenge. Its also how we met having played against each other as juniors :)
