We played at their place last year and I totally accidentally gave him a waist high full toss.  I came out to bat and got 3 bumpers on the trot!

Someone mentioned Lionel Baker...  He was the same club's overseas, so they had Baker and Logan steaming in!

Logan played in my league up to this season (apparently gone to Dubai to help set up KP's academy) and he was quick!  We played at their place last year and I totally accidentally gave him a waist high full toss.  I came out to bat and got 3 bumpers on the trot!

Not the quickest in the league though... Tom Barber who plays for Hampshire Academy is the quickest.  Has opened the bowling for Eng U/19 and apparently has been clocked at 88 at the Ageas Bowl (although never quite sure of these camp-fire stories...)

Logan almost single-handedly won the Minor Counties Championship for Berkshire CCC last season! Very underrated player.

I think Buzz ought to mention Harold Rhodes... ;)

Do you play for Marlow now Saunders?

Not really. I'm an life member (I think) and run the vets team for 5 games a season. Apart from 3 years in Sussex, I played at Marlow up to 2007. Since then I've been to Yorkshire for 5 years and now in Warwickshire.

I think most of Marlow's recent overseas have been batsman or spinners. The deck at Marlow isn't as quick or bouncy as it was 20 years ago. Early 90's it was as quick as any club wicket around, not a time to meet Aubrey. I remember him taking a particular dislike to a team mate Paul Hawkins (name drop - inventor of hawkeye) in a tour match and deciding he was playing for us (I was part of the touring team playing at my home ground - yes strange). He ran in fairly quickly for the first over to the other batter but the next over was something else. Paul eventually snicked off third ball but the keeper was approx half way to the boundary, taking the ball still rising. Aubrey took his jumper at the end of the over and said "I'll have a blow" and fielded for the rest of the game.
