Your very right, I don't really need another bat, as some of the bats are just not being used. Why buy another bat to make that unused list longer.  Sometimes one gets carried away with things. So it's good to ask and see where one stands. However, I don't (never have) smoke, drink or have done any drugs, so I do spend money on somethings I like. Cricket and health and fitness is a natural for me.  I don't say that of boast I know many people of similar styles.   Iv limited myself to 8 bats (for now) to maintain some order.  If I want another my condition is; I have to replace one bat with the another. Simple.

Also I'm not bragging. Sorry to anyone, if it seems like that.  I just wanted to mention them, so people will know a bit about what I already have and have an understanding of what to say, in return. "You can only prescribe if you can diagnose". So for that reason some background knowledge always helps. Hence why I was particularly interested in the opinions of any ex pros / bat collectors or good shops... as they would know where I'm coming from the most.

As someone previously said earlier enjoy the ones you have now. I.e Live for the Moment.  Best line Iv heard all day. Thanks

Thank you it does help to know more people think the same way.

A cricketer who doesn't drink, what do you do at the drinks break, tea, while waiting to bat, while fielding on the boundary or after the game?  :o

Not sure where you are based as this may help if you can visit. As you want the best willow, your better off going to a company that have a decent stock of willow, that could possibly make a bat in front of you,  so your looking at the likes of Salix, B3, Aldred and h4l. Those would be my choice along with Kippax and Hunts.

Thank you everyone for the messages and the cricket humour... Love it. Thank you very much.  Also there is nothing fishy about me or the wood I'm talking about. I didn't think that would get much attention, they are just like any other top of range bats. I'm keeping them.  So I still hope the main point was, which bat maker and or which shop / brand to get a new bat. Most possibly for t20 use.

Not sure what the forum rules are.  Im relatively new here, please excuse me as I'm still learning on here. If I post the pics someone will say I'm trying to sell my bats.  Not that I was indirectly promoting or selling my bats. There were just to make clear what I have, so to help in what my expectation now are etc...

Thank you guys for your suggestions, I truely appreciate it. I will 99% chance visit Uzi sports and see what he has to offer. I just hope I don't walk out with something that I don't use.

Basically, I think I have enough regular Sh bats and I might just want a t20 addition to that. Question now probably is what style the new bat should be. Maybe I only will be able to decide that fully. Eg, newbery Uzi t20 bat at 2.8/9 or the laver and wood ultra reserve shape bat. At the same weight. The newbery uzi has a 1 inch shorter blade and the l&w is 1.5 inch shorter blade. I was impressed by the laver and wood I had before but just at ~2.12 weight was too heavy for me and the pressing I thought was much harder then my other bats. That's the only reason I thought I might want the same bat but in a lighter weight but made in English 1++ willow.

Also Thank you Simon for your private messages. I just find it hard to type and fill in the forms using this tablet. But your messages deserve a big thumbs up. Cheers.

Thank you for your response. Ill look into that. Really good ideas.

Im in Manchester.

I might visit Uzi sports.  Let's see if Tim keeley can make me a bat. Salix is just too far for me, also as I already have his bats.
H4l not sure where they are. But I'll keep it simple. I'll let you know if do get anything. Most importantly I rememebr when I use to concentrate on my technique and temperament, I would do well. When I concentrate on my kit and wishes I dont. I hope there is a lesson in there for me.

Kippax in Leeds is a good shout then especially as you want a t20 type bat. There was a thread a few days ago where someone said they were cutting clefts with 80mm edges to make a new style bat.

You will be most welcome , we are open Sat and Sunday and can accomodate you outside the opening hours. I believe we have around 100 hand picked cricket bats (not including Juniors) and can get a custom made bat if requires. When you do come make sure you have enough time to spend at the shop.
People who have visited us, may be they can tell you what kind of stock and quality we carry...
