There's a topic  on here which explains how much wieght you can lose and how much bat speed is gained before it becomes negligIble can't find it though

I shaved my Ton Slasher edges from 10.8 to 10.6 to create my profile photo for my Facebook page.

Measured some Kookaburra bats at 10.9. 3 mm makes no difference.

On our new Scorh and Fireball bats if I had not mentioned bat width not one person  that viewed these models would have said that these bat  faces are 3 mm thinner at the Vitas forum day quite a few people used the demo bat and not one person commented on it . Looking down at the bat in my stance and seeing the big edges and profile phscologicaly gives me the confidence to go over the Top that's all I need
