Was this in the 7aside game? If so I suspect the mentality of the batsman would have been much different from a normal situation.

Yeah it was but having gone for 13 off 3 before this and I want to have a plan in place of it happens in the league, especially if it's a tight run chase

Don't change to much from normal, I've never been taken for a massive over but the mistake is more likely to come by you bowling the same than you trying to change from your normal game plan

Another option if you have a batsman clearing the front leg and looking to go over cow is to stick the ball very wide of off stump, but short of a length - its surprising how often the batsman sets himself for the big leg side shot then looks to cut without adjusting his feet properly and either lobs one up or chops on.

Develop a much quicker ball and take the blokes head off!
(Only tends to work on harder decks with a reasonably hard ball though)
