Andy was a decent batmaker - I even made one at his workshop under his guidance of course!!!

When I say that I made one...I meant that I made one for me, not for retail obviously  :(

Had lunch with the wife on the Cowley Road yesterday, so I thought I would take a look at the SAF cricket shop in Crown Street.  Unfortunately it seems it has now closed down.  The shop was almost empty.  What I can gather, is that SAF was purchased by the chap who runs East Oxford CC.  All the kit, bats etc were made in Pakistan.

That's the leap between a business and a hobby, to make it sustainable you need to expand outside of your immediate network.
