I bought a pair of SS Gladiator gloves and am really happy with everything except the thumb protection. It's got the usual little rubber thimble thing for your thumb to fit into, but with just the tiniest little bit of hard foam in it. Not very comfortable and certainly doesn't feel very protective.
The more expensive gloves I've tried always seem to have really nice feeling foam/gel/whatever on the end of the thumb. Anyone know exactly what they use?
Never been a fan of this brand. Nevertheless, the rubber thimble thing
Is for your own protection. Do not remove that under any circumstances,
The thumb protection is what will protect your thumb against the ball, but
This rubber thimble is to protect your thumb from the thumb protector itself,
After it has impacted with the ball. Companies do not recommend to do your
Own experimentation, as it is risky. Also, be aware all top brands in the world
Use this same thing. As a matter of fact many brands are made by this company
Itself. They would not not use anything inferior in there product and use goods
Ones on the brands they make.
