Were people using coloured stickers as early as the 50's?

Do you mean the dragon stickers or the green stickers, or both?

Dragon ones were 2000's IIRC.

I think I first saw one around 2007/08 which is when I decided I wanted a Kippax!

Absolutely love the shape of this bat.  Reminds me of the Hunts County Insignia.

Grading also seems extremely generous for a grade 3!!

Yes lovely bat and insignia. Looks much better than Grade 3 - maybe 3 was their top grade and 1 was lower grade at that time. I do find the way manfacturers use *** gradings or 1-5 etc. very confusing. Also descriptions like `pro' and `player' standard are very mixed up between different manufacturers. Lots of lower grade old bats seem to have a `pro' labelling. You would think it could be standardised.

Yes I agree, grading systems can be confusing at times.  Bat maybe downgraded a bit cos of uneven grains and some heartwood.  There are certainly plenty of grains though!

One things for sure, 99% of bat manufacturers would not have this bat graded as Grade 3 in this day and age! (Wow I sound old there)! :D
