Newbery Mjolnir - an absolute classic.

Just what I was thinking...

I had gotten Mjolnir shape from @Blank Bats and I would say it was terrific bat, it would be something I would still use. Amazing, I think you should look to get that.

I know the temptation for some new willow is big, but won't a leading edge with the old bat, still be a leading edge with a new bat?
As an oldie returning to the game, I've concluded that practice and some professional coaching would do more to my improve my batting, than a new bat.

..... but I bought a new bat anyway :D

Chompy you are definitely right there.
But I also will buy anther bat anyway as a placebo  ;)
I've got only the one anyway, so could do with another of course.
I do think the current bat might just be a bit too heavy and causing me to mis-time.
Though a coach would probably tell me to stop leg glancing everything, and work on my on-drive.

Have been eyeing this up for a few weeks, but have no real need for it.

Might be suitable and if it goes I bought they might keep dropping the price. Started at £150

Bought this over the weekend and it arrived this afternoon. Looks about what I was chasing. Needs a new grip, but is unplayed.
Weighs 2lb 9oz without a grip, so not particularly light but a lot lighter than my Kookaburra (which might be as chunky as I thought).
Did a couple of on-drives in the kitchen just now and they both went straight through the covers for four, so must have been the old bat after all.  :)
