England aren't that good either. I can see it being a close series.

That's quite literally what I said.... It'll just come down to a batsmen on any side having a good day.. aka, probably more luck than anything for either side

I'm concerned that our batsmen have had poor preparation.

Why are these players from western countries across sports so mentally fragile? You would never hear something like this from players in the sub continent about poor mental well being. I guess the struggles one goes thru in the sub continent really toughen you up as a person. Its a shame really! I assume counselling wouldnt help either in such cases.

Sorry but that is an utterly idiotic comment. Choosing to look after your health is not being 'fragile'. Your comment about counselling really betrays how ill informed your stance here is, maybe stick to commenting on cricket.

It's not such as new thing, cricket has more than a few cases going back over the years. The bubble life on tour has brought out issues players have to deal with now, restrictions on movements, time away from family.

It was over a year ago Eoin Morgan said the bio secure bubbles are not sustainable,so he already knew there would be issues for the players.Recently mental and physical health are getting closer together which can only be a good thing.

You have your view but if you want to expand another viewpoint try a book called The Curse of the Strong by Dr Tim Cantopher.

The book is broken down for the layman understanding of how the mind works and a explanation of stress points, coping methods and what type of personalities can be affected by mental health issues.
It's a real eye opening explanation anyone can understand.

I can thoroughly recommend it.

I know I may be exposing myself to abuse by putting my point forward but this is really how I feel. Generally in western countries, players come from good backgrounds and have been protected all their lives. They have never really had to struggle hard unlike most players from developing countries. I did say that counselling will probably not help as this is only something that can be experienced. It is what it is. Different backgrounds, different situations; which is why maybe I might not understand.

You have the right to an opinion and I'm not going to shoot you for it but.....     kinda agree with the above fella sadly.

Sub Continent doesn't have stronger mentalities .. it's just not accepted to admit to issues yet. Western nations were the same many years ago but have evolved (for good AND BAD). You just haven't had players admit to this stuff yet

You could be right...but I dont see this happening with players of developing countries for years to come. As you correctly mentioned it has evolved in the western countries for good and bad. But in developing countries where everything in life is a fight and struggle, you would never see someone give up their spot.

Isn’t it more that it still has a lot of stigma attached in less developed countries?

A lot ‘more’ stigma I should have said. Still
Plenty attached here.

Will be interesting to see if Stokes plays in the IPL in the autumn.

Don’t give India a sniff tbh. Their biggest weakness is their captain and his puppet Shastri. If they are stupid enough to select two spinners on a raging green tops during the WTC final what hope will they have over 5 tests?
Coupled with Kohli’s obsession with Bumrah who’s been dreadful in recent times
4-0 home win. Easy money

Also this one @Jeff Navarro lol

Stokes seems to be very involved with streaming Warzone lately. Seems to be very jovial when I've watched him (Not that he should be moping around crying all day) which is a good sign. Hopefully back soon.
