Is this some form of wierd hypothetical discussion going on here?

Just because of the pin knot? It does still have a butterfly on it, and the playing area is stunning IMO. Believe it or not, there was a video where Andrew Kember addressed pin knots - better on the face than through the edge seems to be his belief. The thought behind it is the pin knot might travel straight through and make the bat too hard across the face, while if it's small and on the face and out of the playing area, chances are it's shallow. It makes sense if you think about how branches grow, and how the clefts are cut out. Ones as tiny as this that don't really show any signs at the back of the bat aren't much to worry about I wouldn't imagine, and does it really affect the bat enough aesthetically to warrant downgrading? Subjective, but to me that's absolutely stunning, and the beauty of a natural product

It's a top grade butterfly player grade bat, only it's too heavy for most liking.
It's not a knot!

It does also have a pin knot, even if it's still stunning for that.

Looks absolutely terrible, the pin knot makes it only slightly above vellum. I will give you ten great British pounds for it.

That is stunning by every stretch of the word, from my experience those bats with a hint of butterfly in them absolutely fly. It’s a shame it’s a bit heavy for you but a great win for you and well done for supporting a fantastic cause.
