Aldred Velocity butterfly
« on: June 08, 2016, 07:17:35 AM »

Ordered my 3rd bat from Paul as last two were bought by my teammates. Requested a 2-14 ,full profiled Velocity shape in butterfly grade and Paul delivered 100%. Ping is fantastic as usual for all Aldred bats. Pick up definitely feels like a 2-13 with a slight bottom heavy feel which is totally fine with me. This bat was ordered to take the beating from cheap rock hard balls used in our local T20 league. Finishing is also top notch.

Specs

Edge: 36mm
Spine: 67 mm
Grains: 6
Weight: 2-13
Pick up feel: 2-13
Sweet spot: low
Balance: slightly bottom heavy
Handle: standard thickness with black spiral grip

Good honest review there mate. You got everything going right there - butterflies at the perfect spots & dominant only on the back, straight grains all the way to the back of the bat, brilliant full shape, superb finish to it too. Great deal scored now score heaps with it :)

Thanks gaurav23.. I specially requested this type of cleft. This looks like a grade 2 and got the strength from butterfly stain.

Paul does make some lovely bats. I also think his videos and posts have been amongst the most informative contents of this forum.

Enjoy,

David

That fourth picture down... is the spine slight off centre? Sure it won't affect anything but I'm second guessing myself now and can't make my mind up  :D :D
