What type of glue are you guys recommending? A simple wood glue?

Others will know better but I've always used wood glue when it's a fairly open crack and superglue if it's just a hairline one you can't get in about.

Dowling rods are usually put in through the edge and can hold the two sections of the split together.

yes they need to be inserted on horizontal planes so that they go arocoss the bat and pull the two parts of wood together

So can I do that? Do I have to make a hole with drill horizontally through the splice and insert the rod ?

Sorry I haven't done this so not too sure about it.

If I get it rehandle then it would be free but I will have to take it to Pakistan. The blade is in mint mint condition so what do you guys reckon?

How far down the blade do the cracks run, if it's less than about 5cm or so I'd just keep soaking superglue into it and hope for the best, if it's any further then give downling a go.

Just measured it and its around 4 cm.

I'd just fill it with superglue and tape it for now.

Knowing you have a lovely selection of bats CD, I'm going to go against the grain here and say do nothing to it. Use it until it dies and move on to another one. All the effort of drilling/dowelling and glueing may not work. Unless you are particularly attached to the bat, just leave it be.
