Looks like he is coming out of retirement. Shame I don't live up that way anymore, would have loved to go and watch him. Some of you may be playing against him!

Johnny told me about this a while ago i think there 3 members of the forum play in that league..

Will raise the profile of the league no ends i was based 7 miles away from there it not the biggest ground either

Hey Johnny when your league going to be using pro's..

I think you will very soon

Not sure most of the clubs in the Palace Shield want Pro's tbh, bar one or two clubs who keep losing their better young players to so called stronger leagues.

Lancashire seem to want the best youngsters on their books in the Liverpool league & I don't us having pro's would change that, & I'm not sure if all the pitches would be too clever with a quickish pro bowler either.

Never say never though.

Notoriously small grounds up here, so yes, can see a few balls disappearing if he does play. Apparently he's only going to be available for 2-3 games in August.

Dave, don' think the PS will ever have Pro's - it's what distinguishes us from other local leagues. Any teams that want to step up to the next level will join the Northern League or Liverpool Comp instead
