Shane Watson
« on: March 03, 2011, 04:37:43 PM »

Shane Watson bat's right handed, bowl's right handed and throw's right handed. But for some reason, well from this picture anyway, he seems to write left handed. Very weird.

Noel Gallagher is left handed at everything, yet plays guitar with his right. I'm right handed, but my left is stronger?

Work that one out

not really.
I bat, bowl and try and throw right handed (I have a terrible throw), but write left handed.

I know someone who bowls both right and left handed, throws both right and left handed, bats right handed and writes left handed. He's 9 too

I'm use to say'

Micahel Clarke - Bat's right, but throws and bowls left.

Mike Hussey - Bat's left, but bowls and throws right

Matt Hayden - Bat's left, but throws right

Adam Gilchrist - Bat's left, throws right.

In all these cases, their throwing/bowling arm, is their writing hand. However, this is hte first time I have seen someone who Bat's, bowl's and throw's right, to then write with his left hand. Although the other alternative is that he taught himself to write with his left and he can write with both hands, I didn't think about that.

I'm use to people being ambidextrous, but throwing is different to writing.

Sounds very handy

Wish I could throw with both hands, would confuse the hell out of the batsman

I've practised, Jesus it's hard! You end up looking like a girl if it goes wrong, and if it goes right then it's still limp compared to your strong hand...

He probably taught himself how to do it.

I play A.F.L and when I first started, I was terrible on my left, but as the years went by, I became better and better. Now I can kick 60 meters on my right and about 40-45 on my left. If anyone knows about A.F.L, I played Full Back for ages and always had a big kick, but last year I played Full Forward as we needed some bigger kicks in our forward line.

One of the lads I coach throws overarm with his left hand (he's a left arm spinner), but underarms with his right hand.  And has always done so.

If the right side is dominant you should use this as the top hand batting and bat "left handed".
