Hya mate, have you thought about having a trigger movement of some sort?
It just seems that with you batting so far outside leg, that your maybe defending the balls that you could be looking to work away on the legside? It might just be the camera angle though.
Also, with batting so far outside leg it doesn't allow a great amount of strokeplay outside the off stump, which means you could miss out again, and also you might find yourself driving through the covers off middle stick, which can be very risky!!
May i suggest starting with either a leg guard, or taking two, and getting your feet moving across to middle as your trigger movement, this may stop your foot being planted so early, allowing more shots to come into the equation?
I used to plant my foot, and just a small trigger movement to get me moving more, and a lot of practice soon sorted me out and i feel a lot more comfortable at the crease!
Like i said it could just be the camera angle or something! But hope this helps!
